There is no word on a cause or a damage estimate after a large fire broke out in a pile of straw bales on Eberts Line north of Chatham Monday night.
Fire crews from Chatham responded to the scene on Eberts Line just before 7pm Monday and were assisted by firefighters from stations in Dover and Harwich North.
Fire officials say about 150 bales were involved in the fire, adding that heavy equipment was required to separate the pile.
Firefighters are expected to keep an eye on the scene for the next couple of hours, but officials say there is no risk to any property or residents.
