Road Work To Cause Delays At Night

Construction on Grand Ave. W. in Chatham has almost wrapped up.

One of the final steps in the project is laying new asphalt at the intersection of Lacroix and Sandys St.

To cut down on delays, the contractor will pave the road at night, starting Sunday, July 29th at 8 pm.

Delays overnight could be as long as 15 minutes in all directions. Motorists are being asked to consider alternate routes during that time.

All the road work is scheduled to be done by August 3, but boulevard and driveway restoration work will continue until August 15.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent would like to thank the residents and businesses affected by the construction for their patience.
