Pedestrian Dies From Injuries After Crash In Chatham

Chatham-Kent police say a 63-year-old woman has died from her injuries after she was hit by a vehicle in Chatham two months ago.

Police say the Chatham woman was walking along the sidewalk along McNaughton Ave. on May 28 when she was hit by an SUV that was leaving the Nortown Plaza.

Officers say the woman was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but succumbed to those injuries earlier this week.

At the request of the family, her name will not be released.

The 79-year-old Chatham man who was driving the vehicle that hit her is charged with careless driving.
