Police Looking For Teens After Gas Theft

Chatham-Kent police say they have arrested one teen and they are looking for two more in connection with a gas and dash investigation in Thamesville.

Police say three teens pulled up to the Mac's Milk in Thamesville at around 4:30am on Thursday, July 12 and allegedly took off without paying for the gas they pumped into their vehicle.

Officers say two of them "concealed their identities" while they were pumping gas.

Police say they have since arrested a 17-year-old Thamesville youth who was allegedly driving the vehicle at the time of the incident -- he's charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime.

Officers are still looking for two other teens in connection with the investigation.

Arrest Made After Hang Up 911 Call

A 24-year-old woman is facing charges after police responded to a hang up 911 call at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Police say they responded to the call last night, and allegedly found a woman at the residence in the company of a man who she had been previously ordered to stay away from.

As a result, she was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions.

Caboose Broken Into At Chatham Rail Yard

Chatham-Kent police say they're investigating after someone forced their way into a caboose at the CN Rail Yard on Colborne St. and took off with some equipment.

Investigators believe it happened sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Police say the stolen equipment includes a Champion 3550w generator, a Smooth Talker cell phone booster, a Brandt/OTM Remote and case, a Mastercraft Maximum cordless 20v drill and case, a Milwaukee cordless grease pump, and some spray cans, propane cylinders, safety glasses, and various hand tools.

Wanted Blenheim Man Turns Himself In

Chatham-Kent police say a 75-year-old Blenheim man is facing a handful of charges in connection with a domestic disturbance investigation.

Police say the man is accused of contacting a woman multiple times at her workplace and showing up at her apartment even though he had previously been ordered not to communicate with her or attend her home.

Officers say the man is also accused of contacting the woman at her work a few days after that in an attempt to persuade her to rescind her statement to police.

Police say the man turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday morning on an outstanding warrant and was charged with five counts of failing to comply with his release conditions and one count of attempting to obstruct justice.

Crash Leads To Careless Driving Charge

A 29-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with careless driving after a two-vehicle crash in Wallaceburg Wednesday night.

Officers say minor injuries were reported and the damages are estimated at $8,000.
