Man Charged With Stunt Driving In CK

A man is in trouble with the law after going more than 60km over the speed limit in Chatham-Kent.

An OPP officer was using a RADAR gun on Hwy. 401 near Dillon Rd. on Friday at around 10pm when they noticed an eastbound vehicle speeding. Police say the vehicle was going over 160km/hr in the posted 100km/hr zone.

A 28-year-old man from Waterloo has been charged with racing a motor vehicle. The driver's licence has been suspended and the vehicle will be impounded for a period of seven days.

He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice on August 22.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
