Dresden Municipal Centre Recognized For Top Performance

The Dresden Municipal Centre is being acknowledged for its top-notch levels of service and customer care.

The municipality's Service Ontario centre in Dresden received the recognition of Top Private Office Performance for 2017/18 from the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGSC) on May 31.

An information report by the Municipality Of Chatham-Kent's Corporate Services Customer Services Division will be brought forward at Monday night's council meeting regarding the recognition.

The centre is being acknowledged for its dedication to providing high quality, effective services and security of sensitive information.

The MGCS congratulated Dresden on "the outstanding achievement of the 2017-2018 Quality Assurance results at Office 232 – Dresden”.

"We are honoured to receive this recognition and commend our customer service team, Donna Kilbride, Ginny Steptoe, and Lidia Ritchie, for achieving admirable levels of service quality and customer care," says Director of Customer Services Leanne Segeren-Swayze.

The Dresden Municipal Centre has been an official service provider to operate a private Service Ontario centre since 2003. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent entered into an Issuing Services Agreement with the ministry with the strategy to offer both municipal and provincial services in one municipal facility.

According to the report coming to council, this particular location is unique in terms of offering combined services.

As an official service provider for Service Ontario, the municipal customer service representatives receive ongoing extensive provincial training to perform issuing services, such as driver and vehicle licensing, health cards, and provincial photo identification.

In 2017, the centre's customer service team supported 9,000 customers by providing efficient and effective Issuer Services.
