A reminder to the public that having a lead foot can lead to charges.
The Ontario Provincial Police in Chatham-Kent says it has charged a 30-year-old Amherstburg man after officers spotted a vehicle going 30 km/h over the speed limit on Hwy. 401 near Queen's Line last Friday.
Once they stopped the driver, they discovered he was also driving while under suspension.
Now, the Amherstburg resident is charged with speeding, and driving while under suspension.
The OPP reminds the public officers are always looking for drivers who are speeding, driving impaired, using their cellphones, and not wearing their seatbelt.
