The Chatham hospital has more visitor restrictions because of a flu outbreak declared on Friday.
The latest restrictions are in place for patients on the Stroke and Rehab unit and are effective Monday due to a respiratory illness. Hospital officials say patients from the Stroke and Rehab unit developed influenza-like symptoms over the weekend warranting respiratory outbreak measures.
Flu symptoms include fever, chills, cough, runny nose, headache and muscle aches.
Restrictions continue to be in place for the Medicine Unit B and the fourth Floor Complex Continuing Care.
The hospital is asking anyone who is not feeling well, particularly with flu-like symptoms, to not visit patients at the hospital during this outbreak. Anyone visiting patients who may have influenza will be required to wear a mask, gown, and gloves. No children under 12 can visit the affected units for their own safety and that of the patients and staff.
Visitors will be asked to wash their hands upon entering and exiting the main entrance only.
All hospital services are offered as usual in other areas of the hospital.
