Alleged Pot Dealer Turns Himself In

Chatham-Kent police say they've taken more than $100,000 worth of illegal marijuana off the streets after busting a grow-op in Chatham.

Police say they executed a search warrant at a home on John St. Thursday morning and found some marijuana plants, about 5kg of harvested marijuana, and some cannabis resin.

No one was home at the time, so officers didn't make any arrests at the scene.

Investigators say a few hours later, though, at around 3:30pm Thursday, a 35-year-old Chatham man turned himself in at police headquarters.

He was then charged with three counts of drug possession and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He has been released with conditions and a future court date.
