Vehicle Clocked At 70 km/hr Over Speed Limit

An Etobicoke man has been charged after police clocked a vehicle speeding 70 km/hr over the posted limit in Chatham-Kent.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Sunday at around 5:45pm, officers stopped the vehicle on Pinehurst Line near Lakeview Dr. after it was seen 150 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.

As a result, 30-year-old Etobicoke man has been charged with street racing. His driver's licence has also been suspended and the vehicle will be impounded seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in court on November 22.
