Police Investigate Dresden Break-Ins

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a couple of unrelated break-ins in Dresden that happened over the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.

Police say sometime between October 8 and 9, someone broke into a shed on Esterville Rd. in Dresden. Two all terrain vehicles (ATVs) were reported stolen -- a 2013 Arctic Cat and a 2017 Honda. Together they're valued at $11,050.

During that same time frame, another break-in happened on Croton Line in Dresden.

A log splitter and a 2012 utility trailer worth about $2,000 had been reported stolen from the driveway. Police say some items had also been reported stolen from a shed on the same property. Two chainsaws, and air compressor, a power washer, and a gas can were reported stolen.

Anyone with information on either break-ins is asked to contact Constable Brad Hessel at bradhe@chatham-kent.ca or at 519-436-6600 ext. 87270.

Anonymous callers can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
