There will be no shortage of entertainment and activities in downtown Chatham Friday night.
Sections of King St. W, Fourth St., and Fifth St. in Chatham will be closed off to regular traffic from 2pm until 10pm to allow for more pedestrian traffic in the area.
Most of the activities start at 5pm with Captain Positive making a guest appearance at the Capitol Theatre on King St. W. ahead of the Positivity Day Spectacular event, which starts at 6pm at the theatre.
Admission for that event is free and there will also be free french fries before the show provided by the Optimist Club of Chatham.
The Positivity Day Spectacular will wrap up the 12 Days of Positivity in CK with live music, a comedian, a live dance performance, and a $5,000 Grand Prize presentation at the theatre.
At the same time, from 5pm to 9pm Friday, several businesses in downtown Chatham will be participating in Chatham's 2nd Annual Downtown in the City Extravaganza event.
Members of the public are encouraged to wear black and white and bring along a "passport" for the businesses that are participating.
You can find more information on the passport by clicking here.
There will also be a "Parade of Fashions" fashion show at the Downtown Chatham Centre at 5:30pm, wood carving demonstrations starting at 5pm on King St., and a martial arts performance.
