The Chatham Maroons wrapped up their GOJHL exhibition schedule with a win in double overtime.
The Maroons edged past the Sarnia Legionnaires 7-6 in 2OT in Chatham Tuesday night to end the preseason with one win and three losses.
The Maroons trailed late, but they managed to tie things up in the third period, scoring three unanswered goals, before Craig Spence scored the game-winner on a penalty shot.
Steven Fowler led the Maroons with two goals, while Spence had three assists to go with his game winning goal.
Chatham opens the season on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm when they face the Kitchener Dutchmen in the GOJHL showcase in Brantford.
