Blenheim Family Starts New Life In New Habitat For Humanity Home

After months of hard work and sweat, the Spall-Chrysler family finally has the keys to their brand new Habitat For Humanity home.

The Blenheim family of four received the keys to 106 Sherman St. on Friday.

Dad Lee Chrysler says he should have bought a bigger lawnmower because the front and backyards are huge.

"The grass is pretty big and I'm now rethinking I should have got a rider," says Chrysler with a laugh. "But I didn't and I'm still young so I can still push the lawnmower around," says Chrysler.

The family thanks all the volunteers who worked on the house and the donors and sponsors who made it possible. It's the fourth home for Chatham-Kent Habitat For Humanity.

Mom Nichole Spall says the family is going to experience some great lifetime milestones in the house.

"I got to be on this journey with Lee and our future is going to be amazing. The memories we get to build with our family. Kylie is going to start walking here and I'm very excited to be out in the yard to be playing with the kids soon," Spall says.

Chrysler says the home wouldn't be reality without so many wonderful people helping.

"Everybody helping and just amazing people just sharing and helping everybody out. We just hope that future builds have the same opportunity we had," Chrysler says.
