The Ontario Provincial Police has identified a Windsor couple as the victims of a double fatal crash Sunday afternoon.
Larry and Patricia Best were riding their Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Manning Rd. when an eastbound van on County Rd. 46 struck their bike.
Both of them were 66 years old.
The crash around 4:30pm shut down the intersection for hours while officers from the Technical Collision Investigators unit went over the scene.
Police arrested a 54-year-old Essex man at the scene. He now faces two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and two counts of driving a motor vehicle in excess of 80 mg of alcohol causing death.
The intersection reopened late Sunday night.
