The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has upgraded a flood advisory to a flood warning.
The LTVCA says there's lakeshore flooding along Erie Shore Dr. in Chatham-Kent and homes along this stretch are being impacted with some places having water up to the road.
Environment Canada is calling for high wind and strong waves until tomorrow morning that could cause erosion and flooding along the shoreline.
Conservation officials are warning people to avoid the shoreline because the waves can be strong and the shoreline slippery.
The flood advisory should end on Sunday.
