If you have any questions about beach testing, Rondeau Provincial Park is the place to be this weekend.
Researchers from the University of Windsor will be at Beach Access 10 on Saturday and Sunday, talking to the public about how water samples are taken from the water and the sediment.
PhD student Danielle VanMensel will be one of the researchers at the beach.
"I think everyone likes to go to the beach and enjoy a sunny afternoon or go for a swim," says VanMensel. "There's always a concern as to whether it's safe for public use or not in terms of E. coli counts or just general safety."
Van Mensel also says the public response so far has been "phenomenal."
"Everyone is really interested in the research that we're doing and they really want to help us with obtaining more information so that we can lead to improving the quality of the beaches," says VanMensel.
The "Water Monitoring 101" sessions start at 10:30am Saturday and Sunday and they'll last about an hour each.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
