Uncle Tom's Cabin Historic Site near Dresden is hosting a free event on Canada Day.
Canada Day at the Cabin runs from 11:30 am until 3 pm
"We have a presentation by Marie Carter, it's called "Cultural Diversity at Historic Dawn," says summer student Tayah Clarke. "We'll also have a barbecue cookout, and then uptown jazz and blues concert, with a special performance from the Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley Band, with a special performance from Donovan Locke."
Clarke says people can also check out the rest of the historic site while they are there.
"We have a gallery that has lots of different historic artifacts, but we also have three buildings out back and two cemeteries that people will be able to look at."
