Chatham-Kent OPP (Photo by Matt Weverink)A 59-year-old truck driver from Brampton is charged with careless driving in connection with a crash that almost claimed his life.
Chatham-Kent OPP say the man was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries early Sunday morning after the transport truck he was driving rolled over on Hwy. 401 near Orford Rd.
Police say he is now in stable condition.
The OPP shut down the highway for several hours Sunday for their investigation and for cleanup.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
