Local high school students are once again helping out women and girls in Chatham-Kent who need a formal dress.
Ursuline College's eighth annual dress drive is on now.
"We've been collecting dresses all year round," says teacher Tasha Sanford. "People come in and donate gently used dresses, shoes, and accessories."
Donations can be dropped off at the school's front desk until Wednesday at 3:30pm. The actual sale is this Thursday from 3pm-7pm in the dance studio at UCC.
"We sell dresses, shoes, and handbags, for girls in our community who need to buy a dress at a lower cost," says Sanford.
Dresses are $20, while shoes and accessories are just $5. The sale is open to all women and girls in Chatham-Kent, not just students.
Sanford says nothing can beat helping someone find the perfect dress.
"That's probably the best part of doing this," she says. "Seeing someone who's able to find something perfect that they love, that they're able to afford."
