Jeremiah Addison's hat trick was not enough to finish off the London Knights in Game 6.
The London Knights scored four straight unanswered goals on their way to a 5-3 victory over the Spitfires Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre. Addison's goals accounted for all of the Windsor scoring.
The win evens the best-of-seven OHL Western Conference quarterfinals at three games apiece. London had been down three games to one. The deciding Game 7 is Tuesday night at Budweiser Gardens.
Addison's first goal was the only one of the first period, and it came just a shade under five minutes in. The Spitfires had three power play opportunities against the Knights' two in that period.
London began its surge at 5:53 in the second period, when Mitchell Stephens tied the score. Janne Kuokkanen put the Knights in the lead later in the period for a 2-1 London lead after two periods of play.
The Knights partially closed the door on Windsor with two additional back-to-back goals in the third period, off the sticks of J.J. Piccinich and Robert Thomas. Addison then scored two straight goals of his own, exactly three minutes apart, to complete his hat trick and pull the Spits within one. Thomas later scored his second goal of the game with a minute left in the game, after goalie Michael DiPietro was pulled for the extra attacker.
DiPietro stopped 39 of London's 43 shots between the pipes. Tyler Parsons had 25 saves in net for the Knights.
Puck drop for the deciding Game 7 is set for 7pm in London.
