'Festival Of Giving' Tickets Selling Out Quickly

The Festival of Giving April 8 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham promises to be a good time once again this year.

Organizers say there will be a $10,000 prize, an inflatable volcano for people to climb and lots of live entertainment, food and drinks. There will also be a silent and live auction with a spa and other items up for grabs.

"There's probably ten different things that will be going on at any time during the night," says Vice Chair Donna Polowick. "Face 4 Radio is going to be our band for the end of the night."

The "shipwrecked" theme will benefit the Children's Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, local food banks and others. The goal is to raise $250,000.

Chris McLeod of CKSY Mornings is the committee chair and says it's always a great time.

"When you get here, we try to blow your mind," says McLeod. "There's no other event like it in Chatham-Kent."

He says the night is always a big surprise that pleases the 1,000 who attend.
