Another calf has tested positive for rabies in Perth County.
The Perth District Health Unit says the calf resides on a farm in Wallace Ward, the same farm where another rabid animal was found earlier this month.
That brings the total number of rabid cows found in Perth County to four since 2015.
Senior Public Health Inspector Dale Lyttle says the result is a reminder that rabies is still present in the area.
He says there was no human exposure to the animal.
Rabies is almost always fatal, so people need to ensure vaccinations are up to date in the pets.
