A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 62-year-old man in Chatham.
Police say the man was heading south on Bloomfield Rd. between Park Ave. and Hitchcock Rd. at around 10:30am Thursday, when his vehicle left the road and came to rest up against some bushes.
The man behind the wheel was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and no other injuries were reported.
Police say the man was rushed to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The man's name won't be released at the request of the family.
The crash is still under investigation and police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
