Getting Ready For The Ring

UFC fighter Chad Laprise is getting ready to throw himself back into the ring.

The Chatham native had originally planned to compete at the UFC competition in December 2016, but couldn't because of an injury.

"I ended up hurting my back so I ended up having to pull out of the fight," says Laprise. "But I'm at about 70% right now [and] getting better."

Working his way back to 100%, Laprise says he's been doing a lot of physical therapy with Dr. Jordan Kersten, who works out of Chatham and London.

"I've been on a strong rehab program for about three months now," he says. "And I'm getting way stronger, I'm back training full-time again."

Laprise is expecting his first child to be born at the end of April so he says he wants to get another fight in before she's born.
