CK Children's Centre Expanding

The Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent is expanding.

Executive Director Donna Litwin-Makey says details are still being worked out, but eventually it'll happen either at the existing location or a new location to accommodate a growing client base.

"We have experienced difficulties with the space," says Litwin-Makey. "We have to deal with the different numbers and ages and we're problem solving to see how we can better meet the needs of the community and what are our options for space."

Litwin-Mackey says the centre serves about 100 kids every day.

"Some of those children will come many times through the year for multiple things and some are new to us each day," she says. "We were around 2,400 [children] last year."
