Fatal Crash West Of London

Provincial police say one person is dead after a head-on crash on Longwoods Rd. (Hwy. 2) halfway between London and Chatham.

Police say a second person was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after the crash.

The OPP say a pickup truck and a sedan collided at around 6:40am Tuesday near Wardsville.

Paramedics from London-Middlesex and St. Thomas-Elgin both responded to the crash.

Police closed the road between Dogwood Rd. and Hagerty Rd. for several hours while investigators were on the scene.

No names will be released until next of kin are notified.
