Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour In Windsor This Weekend

A celebration of all things hockey this weekend at the Riverfront Festival Plaza on Windsor's waterfront.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour arrives in Windsor Saturday for two days of festivities including the chance to watch an outdoor NHL broadcast with the community.

The festival starts at noon Saturday with viewings of the Stanley Cup and the Memorial Cup.

Fans can also get signed autographs from a couple of NHL players.

Ed Jovanovski was born in Windsor and played for the Windsor Spitfires before he was drafted into the NHL to play for the Florida Panthers. He's also played for the Vancouver Canucks and is an Olympic gold-medalist.

Kirk Maltby has retired from the NHL, but during his career, he played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Edmonton Oilers and won the Stanley Cup four times.

Jovanovski will be at the festival both Saturday and Sunday, while Maltby will arrive on Sunday.

Festival goers can also enjoy food, games, live music and watch an NHL broadcast of the Red Wings and Calgary Flames game Sunday night.
