Canadian singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen has died at the age of 82.
A post on Cohen's officials website says a memorial will take place in Los Angeles at a later date, but gave no further details.
"It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away," the statement reads. "We have lost one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries."
Cohen has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, as well as the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Cohen's family is requesting privacy during their time of grief.
