Thieves Make Off With Welders, Torches

Chatham-Kent police are working to recover a pickup truck and some welding equipment that was stolen from a business in Blenheim.

Police say someone broke into RJ Equipment on Industrial Ave. sometime overnight last Thursday and made off with a variety of welders, torches, and grinders.

The suspects also left the scene with a white 2004 Ford F250 truck that was last seen with Ontario license plates AM69292.

The stolen equipment is valued at $27,000 while the truck is worth about $9,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

List of stolen equipment:

- one thermal arc welder

- one Miller mig welder

- one portable set of acetylene torches on a cart

- two Lincoln mig welders

- two tool chests containing various hand tools

- two 5" Makita grinders

- three plasma torches
