The PACE program at Wallaceburg District Secondary School is getting another shot at raising enough money to be sustainable.
School principal Murray Hunt says the program, which aims to help at-risk youth, is receiving enough funding from the LKDSB to keep it running for the next three months.
"They're keeping the program going in the hopes that there are either corporate or community programs that can be formed to help support the program in the next three months," says Hunt.
PACE program coordinator Ken O'Neil previously told BlackburnNews.com the program is looking to raise about $60,000 to keep it sustainable.
If they can't manage to raise enough money, Hunt says he's not sure what would replace it.
"Hopefully over the next three months there can be some sort of a plan set in place," says Hunt. "If we don't have a PACE program, hopefully there can be some community support out there from programs that already exist."
