Suspicious Man Not A Danger

Police say a suspicious man who approached two young children is Chatham last week was just lost.

Chatham-Kent police identified the man involved in two incidents in the Madera Cres. Daleview Ave area thanks to dash cam footage provided by a local citizen.

The 26-year-old was spoken to by officers, who say he was just looking for a specific address, and is not a danger to children.

However, police are still trying to identify another suspicious man who went to George P Vanier school last week. He's described as white, 5'10-6'0 in height with brown hair. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue shirt with two-tone sleeves, and a black/burgundy straight brimmed hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
