The body of a missing swimmer just off the southern tip of Pelee Island has been found near shore.
The swimmer was last seen struggling in the water near Fish Point around 1:50pm on Saturday, while he was swimming in the area with three other men. Police were called when he did not return to shore with the others.
The Ontario Provincial Police say the search was suspended Saturday night because of unsafe weather conditions. When the search resumed this morning around 9:30am the body was found by a civilian.
The man has been identified as 20-year-old Jared Grieb from Chardon, Ohio.
