It's being described as a once in a lifetime crop.
Lambton Grains Committee Chair Kevin Marriott says wheat yields are off the charts locally this year.
"We've had averages of 100 or slightly over in the past," he says. "There's some averages this year of 120 or 130 which we didn't even think was possible in this area."
The average yield in Lambton County is around 80 bushels per acre. Marriott says the corn crop is looking good as well, but we're entering the crucial stages as far as moisture is concerned.
