Police have made an arrest in connection with a throat-punching incident in Chatham.
Officers say on May 7, the victim was helping a motorcyclist at the corner of Grand Ave. and Ursuline Ave. in Chatham when someone walked up to him and punched him in the head and the throat.
The man who was assaulted later had difficulty breathing, so he went to the hospital and learned his voice box was broken.
Officers released images of a suspect and say they were able to identify him thanks to some tips from the public.
Police say a 40-year-old Chatham man is charged with aggravated assault. He's being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
