The Ministry of Labour has issued two Stop Work Orders for a Wheatley boat company.
Ministry officials say on Friday, a Hike Metal worker fell nearly 25 ft. through a hole in one of the boats the company was building.
Spokesperson Janet Deline says an inspector went to the scene, and has now given orders to the steel boat-building company.
"The Stop Work Orders are related to guard rails being installed around hatch openings on the main and upper decks of the boat," says Deline."
Deline adds the orders will be lifted once those rails are installed. The extent of injuries and current condition of the worker are unknown at this time.
