UPDATE: Kid Rock Tosser Won't Be Charged

CK police say they won't be charging a 12-year-old Chatham boy with assault with a weapon after an argument on a school bus took a violent turn.

Police say the boy was going home from school on the bus last week Friday when he got into an argument with a young girl. Officers say that argument escalated to the point where the boy allegedly threw three rocks at the girl's head.

After she was dropped off at home, the 11-year-old girl was taken to hospital for medical attention, but it's not clear how badly she was hurt.

The 12-year-old Chatham boy who allegedly threw the rocks was charged with assault with a weapon, but police have since dropped the charge following further investigation.

This is the second time in a week that a 12-year-old boy has been involved in an assault in a school-related incident. Police say two different boys are charged.
