Lexus Spotted Going 170km/h

A 26-year-old man from Toronto is facing a long list of charges after police pulled over a Lexus that was allegedly speeding on the Hwy. 401.

OPP say an officer that was monitoring traffic recorded the vehicle going 170 km/h in the westbound lanes of the highway near Queens Line at around 12:30am on March 19.

Investigators say the driver also turned the vehicle's lights off and on intermittently in an attempt to evade police, but the officer still managed to track him down and pull him over.

Once he was stopped, officers say the 26-year-old man behind the wheel wasn't able to provide the proper insurance or permit for the vehicle.

He's now charged with failing to stop for police, racing a motor vehicle, failing to surrender a permit, and failing to have a proper insurance card.
