Balls Autographed By Dimaggio, Mantle Stolen

More than $80,000 worth of sports memorabilia and collectible coins have been stolen from a Chatham home.

Police say unknown suspects broke into a St.Clair St. residence on March 10 and took over 100 silver $0.50 and $1 coins.

Also stolen were a pair of baseballs signed by New York Yankees legends Joe Dimaggio and Mickey Mantle. Police say the balls are in excellent collectible condition and were contained in plastic cases.

Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
