Flyers Top Maroons Again

For the second time in two games, the Chatham Maroons fell to the Leamington Flyers in Junior B hockey action.

On Thursday, the Maroons kept pace with the Flyers with both teams tying things at one goal a piece in the first period. However, Leamington took the lead in the second, making it 3-2 going into the third. The Maroons were unable to tie the game before the buzzer, falling 5-2 after the Flyers scored their final two goals in the third.

Maroons Head Coach Tyler Roeszler says they didn't capitalize when they needed to.

"I thought it was pretty even throughout the course of the game and ultimately it comes down to executing on the other team's mistakes, and they were able to do it," he says.

The loss comes after the Maroons 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Flyers on Sunday.

The Maroons are back on the ice on Sunday to take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7pm.
