Police Searching For Snow Shoveller

If you saw someone walking around with a shovel offering to clear off your neighbours' driveways yesterday, you may want to speak with police.

Officers say someone who fits that description was seen in the area of Inshes Ave. in Chatham Thursday at about the same time that a break-in took place on that street.

Investigators say someone forced their way into a residence there between 7:30am and 1:30pm and stole some jewellery and some silver coins.

Police believe the suspect may have been soliciting homes to see if there was anyone inside.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Neal Iles at neali@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 extension 86590.
