Chatham-Kent police seized a number of knives and replica guns during a raid on a Thamesville residence last night.
The police intelligence unit along with the Critical Incident response team executed a search warrant looking for weapons and also marijuana and hydromorphone .
They found a prohibited knife known as a butterfly knife.
There were also a number of other non-prohibited knives at the residence, police seized them citing public safety.
A number of guns were seized but they were found to be air-soft guns and not restricted weapons.
A 26-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman are each charged with possession of a restricted weapon and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
They were released with a February court date.
