The Wheatley Sharks were able to slip by the Wallaceburg Lakers with a 1-0 win in Great Lakes Jr. "C" Hockey League play on Wednesday night.
Jack Leafeve scored the game's only goal at the 13:34 mark of the third period.
Adam Labeouf made 38 saves in the win while George Hill turned away 49 pucks for the Lakers in a losing effort.
Elsewhere in league action, the Lakeshore Canadiens fell to the Dresden Kings 6-2.
Isaac McLean scored twice for the Kings, including the game winner, while Travis Moore made 41 saves in back stopping Dresden to the win over Lakeshore.
In Greater Ontario Jr. "B" Hockey League action, the LaSalle Vipers beat the St. Marys Lincolns 6-2.
The Vipers proved to be too much for the Lincolns, outshooting the visitors 46-19 including 22-6 in the second period.
Nathan Savage had a goal and three assists while Nikko Sablone and Daniel Beaudoin each finished with three points for LaSalle.
