An accused dog abuser will have to spend at least one more weekend in the South West Detention Centre.
Justice of the Peace Elizabeth Neilson presided over the bail hearing of Michael Earl Hill today in a Windsor court room.
Defence lawyer Ahmed Amar says it's understandable the judge take some time after hearing the details of the case.
"To take some time to review the case, review all the facts that came before her, review his testimony, and see if the plan we have is good and see if the crown actually met the burden of proof that showed cause," says Amar.
The details of the hearing, along with Hill's testimony, are under a publication ban.
Hill was arrested on December 18 after a dog, now named Justice, was found bound with electrical tape in a field on Walker Rd.
Neilson will read her decision in court on Monday, January 18 at 2:30pm.
