Granite Club Seeks Compressor Funding

The Chatham Granite Club is looking to the public to help pay for some unexpected and costly repairs.

The compressor, which keeps the ice frozen, broke in early December. This, after president Rand McIntosh says they had just serviced the equipment.

"After running for a couple months, it started making some noises. The company came back and they said the cost of repair would be close to the cost of the whole unit. The timeframe would also cause us to lose the ice."

The granite club will need to raise $40,000 to pay for the new compressor. They've set up a page online where interested parties can donate here.
