73's Clip Flyers

A dominating 4-0 opening frame by the Essex 73's proved to be too tall a task for the Alvinston Flyers to tackle in the following two periods.

Brett Vorshuk scored twice in the opening period with the 73's outshooting the Flyers 13-4 en route to a 6-2 victory. Kirklin Dorman answered for the Flyers to begin the second period but the 73's would make it a 6-1 game before the frame ended.

Alvinston would add a third period goal through Karsten Berg, but weren't able to mount a comeback and were outshot in every period of the game with the 73's sending 33 pucks on net to the Flyers 20.

The Flyers weren't able to take advantage on any of their eight powerplay opportunities in the game while the 73's converted twice with the extra man.

Matt Badour gets the win for the 73's making 18 saves while Matt Boere made 27 saves in a losing effort.
