A shoplifting incident at Walmart in Chatham led police to a pair of stolen credit cards.
Monday morning around 11am, police say the man entered the store on St. Clair St. and tried to purchase headphones, but left when the credit card he was using didn't work.
The man came back into the store and allegedly placed a pair of winter gloves, a flashlight, and other items worth $126 into his gym bag. He then left, allegedly without attempting to pay.
A suspect was apprehended in the parking lot and a search found the man was in possession of two credit cards that were stolen from Sarnia.
A 21-year-old man from Sarnia was charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime, using a stolen credit card, and two counts of being in possession of a stolen credit card.
