Chatham-Kent emergency personnel remove a stolen truck from the Thames River November 30, 2015. (Photo by Simon Crouch) Chatham Kent police say there was no one inside a pickup truck they pulled from the Thames River early this afternoon.
They were called around 9 am by a passerby who noticed tire marks going down to the river from Grand River Line west of Jacob Rd.
A diver located the truck and it was pulled out early this afternoon.
Police say it had been reported stolen last week from a Crerar Dr. address in Chatham last week.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them or Crime Stoppers.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
