Chatham-Kent police say around 9pm last night, a car collided with a hydro pole on Erie St. S.
No one was injured in the collision. Damages are estimated around $20,000.
A 39-year-old Raleigh Township man is now charged with careless driving.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
