Hospital Site Questions Unanswered

The citizen's group for a fair planning process for the new acute care facility wants to see a full cost analysis for the proposed site.

CAMPP is urging the mayor and council to compare the costs of servicing the site at County Rd. 42 and the Ninth Concession against other sites that may have been on the short list.

"The mayor is the elected representative of the citizens living in Windsor so we'd like him to help us. Show some leadership and ask the questions that we haven't had answered," says Spokesperson Philippa von Ziegenweidt.

Von Ziegenweidt says the proposed site will not be accessible to residents in the city or the county. According to the groups analysis of people using the hospital the proposed location is no more accessible to county residents then the current location.

Other sites on the selection committee's short-list have not been released to the public.
